Early on Saturday we went to hunt snakes in the peak district. I took the rubbish phone pictures and Will took the good quality ones.
We found some. You can find them early in the day at this time of the year because they have just come out of hiding are still warming up. Here are a few adder facts.
This badman did not like us at all. When Steve found him he was quite far from cover so because he couldn't take flight he decided to fight us. He started hissing at us and coiled up and struck out when we got too near. Will got an amazing video of it striking at us, followed by our excitable giggles.
Hyped.
We followed up the excitement of the day by skating a big long waxy sausage snake.
