Bit late on the update, but fuck it. Last weekend we were walking down Ecclesall Road on the way into town when Philipa saw something in the sky. We all looked up and saw a bright orange fireball shooting across the sky for ab0ut 20 seconds. We were all trying to figure out what it was on the way in to town - firework, comet, plane?
It turns out it was a meteorite burning the hell up in the atmosphere on it's way to earth. Unfortunately none of us could get any shaky phone camera footage of this falling space rock to upload in low quality to youtube, but I have found someone's video of it elsewhere over the UK.
